Leichhardt Council's $7 million re-development of the Leichhardt Park Aquatic Centre is now complete. Opened in November 2009, LPAC will undoubtedly set the standard as Sydney’s number one Aquatic, Health and Fitness Centre.
The new facility encompasses a world class setting, allowing guests to enjoy the beautiful views and outdoor facilities as they exercise. Whether you choose to use the new state of the art Health and Fitness facility with new gymnasium and Olympic class equipment, take part in one of the many and varied classes on offer, or just relax and unwind in one of the six swimming pools Leichhardt Park Aquatic Centre has something special for everyone to enjoy.
Swim options include indoor heated and outdoor heated swimming, children’s pools, a dive pool, and Program pools for therapeutic rehabilitation and the very popular Learn to Swim Classes.
Health and Fitness options include a state of the art gymnasium, spin studio, and around 80 weekly classes ranging from Yoga and Pilates to Pump, Trifit, and Boxing Circuits.
Whether you enjoy the water, or want to challenge the mind as well as the body, the choices are varied and options are available for all levels of fitness. We also provide complimentary fitness assessments and a customised gym program to all new members as part of our GOLD membership package.
Extended Swim Hours during Summer
Enjoy a swim until 8.30 pm Monday to Friday. Extended hours operate from Monday 4 January 2010 until the end of March 2010.
Please be aware that the Olympic Pool will be closed for public lap swimming between 7:30am and 10:00am every Saturday from 10th October 2009 to 27th March 2010. The dive pool will be open during this time for public lap swimming.
